Her school had commencement last night. She's moving up to the 8th grade at the same school, during which we will have to find a f#&%ing excellent high school for her.

Thanks for being a great daughter and for getting on the honor roll several times (they don't call it that, but it quacks like an honor roll)!

Evidently, there is a newish product in Japan, a corset for your face. Do I have the tag 'ick'? No? Well, I do now.

Scientists inject nanoparticles that enable them to turn specific genes on and off. There's a way to do it without the injection, but: "this would still require growing tumors inside humans to actually get these cell cultures in place, which means the treatment isn't yet ethically permissible in humans."
