Met the Sleep Doctor

I made my follow-up appointment with the doctor from Swedish Sleep Clinic this morning. It was a nontrivial exercise, as Amy's plane flight home yesterday was cancelled and she had to take an alternate route and sleep overnight in Portland, OR. Luckily Katie was able to have a sleepover with a schoolmate so she didn't wind up having to go with me

A fleece sock, eh? Good idea! I'm not getting much condensation, but it could be a very different story come winter.

We all already knew you were a mutant. Good to have it actually confirmed, though, and I'm glad you're moving forward with a plan.

I knew it! You got the same call I did, and the same diagnosis! (no, I'm not gloating) The first day I took my CPAP home, I took a nap with it and slept soundly for three hours. I was lucky and adapted right away, and now I don't know how I'd do without it. I actually get to SLEEP when I go to SLEEP! When you get ready to fly with it the first time, let me know and I'll brief you on how to get it ready for the Airport security to inspect. (I'm a pro on that one)

We are going to be taking it on the airplane to Denver for the Worldcon. Still a few months away, but I will absolutely take you up on that advice.

The tech said "Under no circumstances do you ever, EVER allow it to be checked!" Mine is a Respironics brand, which I understand most screeners understand is medical equipment - and of course it's got the notice on the bottom label.
