well, Howdy back at you, I see you live in Franklin... all the town names in your area are nostalgic to my having been raised in Beaver Falls and spending lots of time at my Grandfather's cottage at Pymatuning and Uncle's cabin near Ridgeway. Travel in the 50's I loved looking at the map with my Mom and navigating for my Dad all the backroads that used to connect the towns... We would read all the signs and distances from one town to the next and my Mom would direct us a different way every time. That was back when each intersection was populated by signs with arrows and distances to the next towns. I still remember some of the places along the Allegheny we stopped because we were never in a hurry.

The last time I traveled the backroads in NW-Central PA was by motorcycle on a photo expedition and I had a flat tire in Oil City and met some nice folks who invited me to breakfast ad helped me get to the motorcycle shop... nice folks in your area.

Yup, Franklin and Oil City are next door neighbors. It sounds like a great life - going on motorcyle photo tours! I'm glad you had a nice welcome locally.
