this is how the scrub oak forests rebound after fire... This area was totally burned off a few years ago- the black tree skeletons and new growth getting ready for winter with their final display... The forest was strange beauty.

thank you, when I was working with this technique about three years ago, I was enjoying the effect at this point but there didn't seem to be much interest so I eventually went away from it. I've got a 'large' print of a waterfall in this technique on our wall by the pool table in the family room.
I don't notice that it isn't a photograph because it is so familiar now but folks seeing it the first time comment about the style and I have to look to see what they are referring to. I appreciate your comment.
