I think I like the middle state best .. not quite as distorted, but still the sense of height.

me too... and it's the original... I just was playing with the perspective tool to see how much one can distort before pixels won't cooperate...

The reason I made the image in the field was because I liked the way the trees seemed to be trying to dominate me as the cold was trying to.
