i just love taking pictures in coupeville. such a great little town.

I've been there almost annually in past dozen or so years either taking or assisting at one of the workshops at the Coupeville Arts Center or just passing through... I always find something to photograph.

I like the rhythmic pattern of the windows, with their slight variations. The light is just splendid, like the light in some of Hopper's morning paintings. But those aloof yet inquisitive cats really make the picture.

Whidbey Island

Love the photo, and it really brought back some pleasant memories! My brother's uncle (to clarify: my brother & I are biologic brothers, but were adopted into separate families) lived on Whidbey, and we spent a week there during the year of the Seattle World's Fair. I loved the island!
