Ah, this experience was surely richer than anything you might have got up to in an office. I love the bright green contrasted on the dark brown. Very vivid.

Thanks for sharing your art.

Hello, Ed. My name is Lisa (Anoisblue). My partner, Kenhighcountry told me about your photography and I came awhile I go to have a look and visit your website and was delighted. Have you been to the Bloedel(sp?) Reserve. We love it there, and some of your photos seemed like they may be from there. Anyway, I had to comment when I saw this photo. The green of these leaves are my favorite color in the whole entire world. Stunning. I could look at this photo for hours. Thank you for posting it and allowing us to see it.

What a beautiful place to live! I love the Kitsap Peninsula. Thanks for the info on these other great spots. I'm always looking for places to take Ken on days off -- places he still hasn't seen.

Thank you for your kind comment... Having lived on the Kitsap Peninsula for about 23 years now, I'm surprised that I haven't been to the Bloedel Reserve... It's been on my list but one of the things not checked yet... There are a couple of other gardens on my side of the sound that I'd like to suggest also: The Mountaineers Rhodendron Reserve just northwest of Bremerton on the Seabeck Highway. The best time to visit is in May when the Mountaineers (Yes, the Seattle Mountaineers) have their annual play at the Forest Theater there. My daughter, Lisa, was married there at the ampetheater among the big trees and rhodendron. The other is Heronswood Nursury which is just north of Kingston. It has beautiful gardens, formal and informal and ponds... It's a commercial nursury and open only a couple weekends a year for the general public. They can be found on the web with a search, I'm sure.
