Bulimia is bulimia is bulimia?

We all know that a lot of people go through times of bulimia, overeating and anorexia in turns and that the lines between eating disorders blur a lot of the times. I see a GP, a psychologist+psychiatrist at the mental health services, and a doctor and occasionally a psychiatrist at the eating disorders service. Both the community mental health and eating disorders have me as anorexia nervosa b/p type, but for some reason my GP always puts my eating disorder down as atypical bulimia nervosa. It confuses me. Personally I think I would find it easier to get treatment if I was either a normal weight bulimic or a restricting anorexic because of how the eating disorders service works where I live.

although I should add that the treatment I'd receive as a bulimic would probably be minimal like maybe group therapy or something.
