Not a crush, young grasshopper, but something much more rare - a moment when one is gifted with the sense of another person in her entirety - or at least, the illusion of same. The universe in a grain of sand, or a metaphysical soul manifest in a smile.
I think it was an experience vaguelly akin to what William James called "religious experience", those moments when one feels a mystic connection to the greater universe of which one is only a small part. (You can ask me about my own, 3 month-long religious experience tonight, if you want to.)
