A tale of burns and aloe or, Farenheit five-oh-oh

You know what's scary? That moment when you realize you've grabbed the handle of a copper pan just out of a 500 degree (Farenheit) oven, just before you start to feel the burn.

I really like fair folk as a gender-neutral collective noun.

And ouch, sympathies. I have certainly done that sort of thing. I have an aloe plant but it's little, and I have aloe-based afterburn gel. It never occurs to me to use it though.

I wondered whether it sounded a little twee. And y'know, as a (basically) straight, white, cis male of a A Certain Age, I certainly hesitate to put my oar into those waters. So thank you! I'll keep using it and see if it flies. :)

I have an aloe plant but it's little, and I have aloe-based afterburn gel. It never occurs to me to use it though.

I've used aloe-based thingies before (and I've used aloe before, too, come to think of it), but none of the Products have ever worked nearly so well as the real thing. Treat your plant well, and remember it in times of need!
