So, this is a strange chapter for me...I feel like it's in limbo leading up to something although I'm not sure what? Lee and Kara...I'm not sure what's going on with them...are they ok?

And is upposenSharon is going to get Hera now,,,but I'm having difficulty connecting the dots.

That's why I haven't commented until now though.

Kara and Lee have their own paths to walk right now. Those paths cross and interact, but the dynamic has shifted. They're not side-by-side anymore. I hope that the relationship between them will become more clear in the next couple chapters.

There's also definitely more dot-connecting to do, especially with regards to Hera. I changed a few key decisions at one point, and I'm still recovering from the fall-out. That's been my biggest lesson in writing this story: I need to make sure that all my decisions make sense when I start writing, so that I don't have to change something and recover from it later on. Or, you know, not post while the story's in process so that I can go back and make any necessary changes before it becomes public.

Anyways! Thank you for commenting! Those are good things for me to pay attention to as I'm working on the next chapters, and I wouldn't have known that I was being so obscure if you hadn't said anything.

Oh, I liked this chapter. The imagery in Laura's dream was marvelous, the viper turning to dust and the figures she can't identify.

She sighed, offered up a short prayer to the Gods and made a choice. She decided to change the meaning of the hybrid's prophesy. For her daughter. And for Lee.

And I really like this. Kara needs to own her destiny instead of being controlled by it. :D

Yay! I'm glad Laura's dream worked for you. I've already paid off the opera house, but I respect Laura's role as Prophet, and felt she still needed to be tied into this whole business somehow.

And I really like this. Kara needs to own her destiny instead of being controlled by it.

Destiny is a powerful thing, and part of me really does believe that some things are fated. But we're all free agents. We have decisions to make and it's our responsibility to shape our fate by those choices. None of us are blind and will-less tools -- the best of us least of all.

I'm trying to figure out how I missed this...

Lot's going on... I'm happy Kara is back.

Was it safe for them to have her so near? Was she safe for any of them?

I hope she'll be safe with her family by her side.. *crosses fingers*

I do hope you continue soon! Loved the story the first time I read it and I am still loving it as I re-read it!

Thank you so much! And this comment has made me realize that I didn't update the link at the end of this chapter when I posted Chapter 27.

I do hope to get back to it soon. Right now, All Things Summer are killing the muse. On the bright side, Dragon*Con is coming, and that usually revives her, so.

I still plan to finish. I've got the last dozen-ish chapters (very tentatively) all laid out. I just need to buckle down. Thanks again for the encouragement!
