Pavel had never really celebrated it properly, never had reason to, but the spirit was somewhat infectious. After changing out of his ( Read more... )

Hi!

Of course I can go for drinks. I've got more than enough time, trust me. Is tonight okay?

She grinned, looking very much forward to the vodka. It had only been a few days since she'd last had a glass, if she was technical about it, but if felt like ages.

Hello, again!

Tonight is good! You are welcome to my quarters! Or if you prefer, I could meet you at yours. It does not matter to me!

He checked the time, thankful that he didn't really have to tidy up his room or anything.

Your quarters will work best, mine are a bit... bare, at the moment. See you in a few hours, then?

Demora walked down the halls. She was used to his room being in a separate hall, which made the walk seem odd.

Still, she was a few minutes early when she arrived at his door. She knocked firmly on the door and stood back to wait.

Pavel was not especially good at waiting, so he stopped in mid pace, when he heard the knock at his door. He tossed the holo novel he was barely paying attention to on the desk, and answered the door. "Demora, hello!" He said, with a wide smile. "Please, come in!"

Demora smiled back at him and entered the room. She looked around for a moment, taking it in. She hadn't really known what to expect - she'd never seen her parent's having their own rooms, they'd shared one since before she was born.

At least the PADD mess on the desk was normal, even if it wasn't surrounded by plants like she remembered it being.

The water tank was unexpected though. Probably had to do with... why couldn't she remember? It was on the tip of her tongue.

She realized she hadn't spoken. "Hi - uh, I'm not entirely sure what I should be calling you."

"You can call me what is best for you," Pavel said, offering her the desk chair. He dug in his wardrobe for a good bottle of Stoli. "I do not mind."

"Perhaps his dislike of swimming is a good thing? It will allow you both to have space if things do progress."

She thought for a moment. "I do think they will. Of course I am rather biased in the matter." She grinned briefly before her face turned serious. "I will not try to push you two together, though. It is not my place."

He studied her for a moment, adding another thing to the list of reasons why he'd be her proud father. "You are very wise, Demona. I am sorry to talk to you of these things. You probably do not want to hear them."

Demora shook her head. "I will always be here to talk to, Pavel. As we have said, this is not the universe I know and things will be different. I will learn to deal with it."

He frowned, biting his lip for a moment. "Then you must promise me you'll stop me when I've said too much, okay?"
