Ganondorf had been admiring the earrings he had stolen from Phoenix. It was true that he enjoyed collecting trophies from his victims. But for some reason, this instance was different. And he couldn't quite pinpoint why.
The knock jarred him into reality. He was not expecting visitors today. So he carefully tucked away his prize and opened the door. He had prepared an irritated tirade but it died in his throat when he saw just who his visitor was.
Phoenix smiled when Ganondorf answered the door, bowing politely in response to his name. "Ganondorf," he said. "It is good to see you again." Indeed, they hadn't seen each other since that significant day, though they'd spoken briefly over the comm.
Then his smile turned into something more sly. "I've come to do something about what you did to me."
"Hmm, that all depends, though I think perhaps you should." Phoenix's smile broadened into a grin that showed teeth. "You stole my heart, my breath, and my life, not to mention the earrings you did not return to me. I think I deserve something in return for all that."
Then in one smooth motion, he pulled his hand from behind his back and presented what he held to the striking redheaded man. "Please grant me the honor of an evening in your presence. One date at least is all I ask."
Flowers, Ganondorf. Roses. Full and fresh and red, and matched only by the passion in Phoenix's eyes and voice.

There was a chuckle that followed before he continued. "Should I be worried?"
