Despite our time in port, it seems our good captain and his crew have not yet dealt with the girl who is plaguing the ship or the problems she has caused. I'm beginning to think that if we want something done about this, we will have to do it ourselves.

Of course, that leaves us with the issue of deciding how to tackle the problem. But first, what ( Read more... )

She's dressed 'oddly,' drags a dead dog along with her, and can project nightmare images into one's mind.

I'm afraid I don't know what 'oddly' means in this case, but I assume it means it'd be easy to determine it's her.

The mun, however, is not sorry. aprimemover May 12 2010, 01:09:03 UTC
I'm sorry to interrupt, but...she's a telepath?

I suppose to an extent. All I know is she projects images into her victim's minds. I don't know if this means she can do other things telepaths are supposed to do or not. I haven't actually encountered her myself.

Oh.

[There's a pause.]

I...might be able to help with that.

[Conceding the possibility that she might not be able to help is one of the harder things the Rowan's ever done.]

She is...younger looking, wearing very old fashioned clothes.

She can ah...'project' images into your mind. It is how she incapacitates.

Hmm. Old fashioned according to whom?

Are you aware if there is any sort of defense against this attack?

To...me, I suppose. She wears...things that I have only seen in pictures. From before the wars.

I...I had no defenses, non. Others may have better luck, yes?

How old fashioned would you say they were, according to your sense of time?

[Phoenix's interest is immediately piqued.]

You were attacked yourself?

She's a batshit, lyin' girl and apparently the crew just can't get rid of her.

In what way did she lie?

Played the innocent, I'm-a-poor-defenseless-girl-help-me card.

Obviously she ain't a helpless damsel in distress.

You sound personally offended by this.

[Not a question, but he's definitely expressing curiosity. What exactly happened to him?]

She killed me once. Did I say that? I think I said that, but yeah, she did.

[Phoenix's voice sharpens somewhat.]

She did? When did this happen?

[He's mad! How flattering!]

A looong time ago. When Even was still here.

[Oh dicks. SCRATCH THAT LAST PART, YOU HEARD NOTHING.]

I think she dropped a stage light on me.

[His brow furrows for a moment.]

Then this is not the first time she's been a problem on this ship?

[Then he lifts an eyebrow, though of course she can't see it.]

Who is Even?

[Sulphur sounds very...very awkward and quiet as she speaks.]

I did something dumb and tried to talk to her after she first got out. She ended up - ... strangling me, without even using her hands. Or anything. Whatever she said when I tried to ask her things, it didn't really make sense as a response or ... at all. Something about "bobbies" and keeping calm. I don't know.

[Another of her victims. It's becoming more and more apparent that this girl needs to be stopped.]

So you would say there is no reasoning with her?

[He pauses.]

Did her words match with her actions at all?
