Merlot arrived shyly, looking around for some familiar faces. She wore a nice floral dress and looked exceedingly cute. In her hands she held a small, wrapped gift tied up with a boy, and Al's name on the tag.

Nausy then proceeded to ignore Al and continue glomping Cappy. Like mother like daughter, all right. The same could be said about Cappy, too, though. At least in the spazz department.

"Hi hi hi! Did I miss anything? Marcus is such a slowpoke, I didn't bother waiting for him anymore!"

They were eventually joined by one who was equally apprehensive about flying, glomping girls.

"Hey, Al. Happy birthday." Nero stuck out his hand to shake the celebrant's. "You look like you're not enjoying the attention, though," he said, smiling.

He silently looked around for his cousins. He wanted to meet Merlot in person, and he was pretty sure his best friend was hoping Khrista would show up. Even though Marcus would never admit it.
