Terra could vaguely remember a time when he'd been a heavy sleeper. That had been years ago, back when he'd been surrounded by familiarity and a world not yet knee-deep in conflict. He'd had a comfortable bed back then. He'd had friends to wake up to. All of that was long gone now. He knew he could not expect to have the same sort of sleep nor fetch the old dreams back to fill the long hours between dusk and dawn. Instead, the time enforced by curfew dragged on each night. Restless and uneasy, he struggled to find sleep as the days passed, but rest was inevitable with training wearing away at his strength. He returned to Mui-Eksi like clockwork at ten-thirty every evening, cast off the seal for his armor, and laid around in that bed, trying to pretend he was alright with all of this mess. Participating in a war that wasn't his own, going through the weeks with no proper instruction or encouragement. No friends, no family, no Master once fallen and forever gone. Only the falsities of a weapon with no emblem and the hollow echo of ( ... )

Rose stopped abruptly when she began to feel like she was being watched. She peered through the darkness, and... there. Her eyes widened. "Quatre!" she gasped. "You look awful! Are you all right?"

He looked... sick. She'd never seen a healthy creature stare like that - he looked like someone suffering from some sort of fever. And his clothing couldn't be helping. "You must be freezing. You should be inside."

She wasn't aware that anyone else was there - Terra had been quiet enough for that.

Terra stopped a few feet in when the mouse's singing cut off and she started at the sight of something outside. He could only see a glimpse of the boy from where he stood, but that sliver was enough to confirm that he didn't know the blond. It seemed that the other two were friends or acquaintances of some sort.

Figuring his idle curiosity wasn't well-suited to a serious conversation, he slipped the cloak's hood up and backed away until he was just outside the bedroom's door frame. He would have preferred to return to his own room, his presence unnoticed, but he hadn't seen the shadowed visitor very well. If the kid really was hurt or sick, Terra wasn't going to walk off or pretend to be oblivious to the stranger's troubles.

He'd have to remember to compliment Rose later on her singing, though.
