[Thread] The Last Days

Characters: OU!Pharaun Mizzrym, OU!Faye Valentine
Where: Faye's new residence, Ast-Okto
When: Before stage two of the modplot begins
Summary: Pharaun's accepted Faye's invitation for a few drinks before the world starts to end.
Warnings: Pharaun, Faye, and alcohol. This may prove to be a very bad combination.

With the threat of- something- looming on the horizon, marching inexorably closer with each passing hour, Faye found it impossible to sit still for even a minute. Thus it was that when Pharaun arrived, Faye was in her bedroom, sorting through some of her belongings, leaving some where they lay and piling some of them near the trapdoor in the middle of her floor, which she no longer bothered to hide. If the Entropi showed up tomorrow, or something else that Faye couldn't fight, she planned to be holed up in her tunnel with all of her essential supplies- hopefully out of harm's way.

Hearing a knock on the door and Pharaun's voice, dimly, through the walls, Faye dropped what she was doing and strode from her room into the living area, calling, "Pharaun! Come on in."

Pharaun pushed the door open. "Nice to see you again." He briefly considered saying something about having moved all those suits of armor for nothing, but decided against it. Probably not the best idea right now.

Faye shot him a playful, careless grin, although strain still showed in her eyes, if one happened to be looking. "Likewise~", she replied, and then, a little more seriously, "Thanks for coming. ...So, uh, make yourself comfortable, and I'll grab the drinks... would you like to sit at the table, or on the couch?" She indicated the couch and small coffee-table in the living room, and the table and chairs in the kitchen.

((Blargh, sorry, had a bit of crazy weekend, didn't have much time for internets. That and I was trying to settle with Rouge-mun on the results of Rouge and Faye's poker game.))

Pharaun shrugged. "The couch, I suppose." The strain in her eyes didn't escape his notice, and while concern for anyone but himself was still a relatively new concept for Pharaun, he thought it might be best to avoid bringing difficult subjects up.
