"Gojyo," Hakkai greeted him, returning Gojyo's grin with a bright smile of his own. It was strange to feel what the disappearances were like from this side of it. He'd felt the anxiety of not knowing where Gojyo was and if or when he'd be coming back a number of times, knew well how terrible it was to have people disappear.
But it was his first time ever being the one to disappear. And it felt like...nothing. Like no time had passed at all, no different from going to sleep one night and waking up the next morning.
If the date was correct, which he had to assume it was, he'd been gone well over a month, not far off from two now. "I'm sorry," he apologized, though he knew he'd really had no more control over it than anyone ever did.
Gojyo sat down beside his best friend on the couch and threw out his arm so that it rested on top of the back rest behind the healer. "It's OK," he rumbled out, "The entropi attacked so I wasn't really scared-scared but, you know..." He leaned closer and nuzzled Hakkai's hair. But it was scary, the way he was getting used to losing Hakkai. He'd lost him so many times now that it wasn't that painful anymore. But then he'd come back, and Gojyo could feel his eyes going a little wet, and a ball lodged in his throat.
