Tomo had helped build sets for the opera when he was a boy, so he knew his way around tools and lumber. It was just a matter of salvaging some, which wasn't hard considering everyone was making repairs. It was not the best job, and it wasn't nearly completed, since his painfully sore arm slowed him more than he would have liked. But he had patched the holes enough to keep the wind from blowing through, at least. And he had fixed up the living room as well, moving some drapes to hide the worst of it and shoring up the damage to the furniture.

He was back in his full opera regalia for Wufei's visit. He set the kettle on the stove on his way to answer the door. He had not served tea since he shared his home with Judge Turpin; the old man's plans had not come to fruition before he was whisked away like so many others.

He opened his door with just a hint of caution. After all, not everyone here wanted to merely share tea with him. But he smiled when he saw Wufei. "Well well, my friend, please enter," he said, stepping aside.

Wufei nodded with a small, polite smile in return as he entered. The apartment looked a good deal better than it had the last time he had been inside; the circumstances of their prior meeting had not been conducive to observation at that time, but now he had the time and opportunity to do so.

Though he'd studied the older cultural forms of entertainment, he had never seen a real person wearing opera costume, only watched old video capturing classic performances. "You must take your art quite seriously," he noted. He wondered if the other man wore such elaborate trappings regularly; from Winner's description, it seemed that he did, though he had wondered at the time if this was mainly to disguise Tomo's true appearance. In his own case, such a disguise was now pointless.

Tomo smiled as he followed him in. "I do," he replied. "I consider it my life, and this," he gestured towards his face and coat. "I consider my true self. Please take a seat," he offered. "The water is heating. Have you recovered from your injuries?" he asked.

"Some time ago," Wufei replied with a one-sided shrug. Whatever aftereffects he had still been feeling from the Entropi attacks had disappeared entirely upon his return from wherever he had been taken. Though there were different issues to deal with now.

"Thank you," he said quietly as he took a seat. "What of your own injuries? It has been some time since I observed your posts."
