[Thread] Racing Against Time

Characters: AU!Fayt, OU!Skuld and OPEN to the resident alchemists.
Where: In the office building.
When: After this, early on the mod plot.
Summary: In spite his injuries, Fayt meets up with Skuld to work on a prototype.
Warnings: None that I know of.

Edward stood a moment in front of the office door. Quatre gave him directions to the office building when he asked Ed to help out some people in need of an alchemist. Unfortunately, Ed hadn’t quite found his bearings in Econtra and got a bit turned around.

He was pretty sure this was the right place, though; he could hear people talking inside. But, really, there was only one way to find out. Ed lifted his hand, knocked, and then opened the door half way. “Uh, excuse me,” he said leaning in. “I’m looking for a Fayt and Skuld. Have I got the right office?”

Skuld looked at Fayt and smiled. "Good to see you." She said, leaning against the wall as she was checking over to make sure everything in the design she made there was correct. It hurt to stand with how heavily bruised her legs were, but she would endure. "Everything looks clear on the design. We can do some wiring, but we'll need to get the metal work done to do anything really useful."

She looked over at the second person."Ah! Edward Elric! Perfect." She said, grinning widely. "Glad to see someone like you saw my message."

"I asked Quatre if he knew anyone. Let's hope-"

Oh, but they didn't have to hope. Or even wait for long. Ed showed up just right after he did, and Fayt had to smile. "I'm Fayt, and this is Skuld. You must be the alchemist," he said, walking up to him and holding out his hand. "Nice to meet you. Now, please come in. We've got work to do."

Ed smiled in return. He shook Fayt's offered hand and then nodded in Skuld's direction "Yeah, hi! That's right. It's nice to meet you too." He glanced curiously around the room. "So what's this project you two are working on? I didn't really get any details. Something for defense, right?"
