Ah, here it was. Death row. Finally, Econtra was about to do what apparently was beyond Gotham's capacity: use simple logic to permanently eradicate a criminal threat. The Joker had to hand it to Sylvanas, she knew how to lead a fancy execution. Punishment that constituted as cruel and unusual by his homeworld's standards, ambulatory corpses, a public venue - he couldn't have asked for better. Despite such seemingly grim circumstances, he didn't appear a touch perturbed, not even a frown. In fact he was complacent as ever to finally be free of the Vault's tedious confines. Truth be told, he could have escaped days ago, but had rather stayed put, like a big dog behind a short fence knowing it could jump but choosing otherwise. He'd simply been curious to see how the residents would react and what their ultimate decision would be. One could say it had been worth the wait ( ... )

Helena knew that the "trial" was going to be soon. When she looked out of her window to see the skeletons digging up one of the holes in the church that was used by the Joker she knew that it would be in the next day or so ( ... )

"When it rains..." Harvey muttered, letting the words trail off as he hurried on his way. His PDA was in one hand, Helena's message still playing -stall them as best I can -expression cold and set. Anarchy always seemed a step away, no matter where he went.

It took what seemed like too long to rush to the area, spotting Helena first as he walked at a quick pace over, looking to Sylvanas and refusing to acknowledge the madman just yet. "Hello Sylvanas, keeping busy are we?" he asked in a dry tone, glancing to Helena with a small nod and half smile before returning his attention to the scene.

Oh good. An audience. Interesting, that the majority of the residents assumed she would just toss him in. They did not understand that she was giving them the discussion they wanted -- on her terms, of course. Let the naysayers come. She would find and nourish the seeds of doubt and bloodlust in them. She knew how to sway a crowd.

The Banshee Queen's mouth quirked up at the corners with Helena's first remark. In reply to the girl's request, she nodded once. "I will wait," she said simply, in a tone that betrayed her private amusement.

And then he came. Harvey Dent. That bastion of Light and law. He would do very well as a paladin in her world, she thought. All the better to disillusion him now.

"Of course," Sylvanas answered him. She smiled with sharp teeth.
