Characters: OU Gaz Membrane Where: Cemetery When: Night Summary: Gaz has mistakenly drank the potion and knows what it will do. She is very annoyed. Warnings: Cursing/crushing and TBA
It had been a sleepless night for her. They came every so often when her thoughts began to overwhelm her, when fortitude of mind gave way to emotions of the past. The recent events that had happened at Econtra had been strange for her. She had experienced worse, but it was one thing to feel it for yourself, and another to see such things happening to another. Which was worse, she couldn't quite be sure, but seeing the change in Selphie had been a painful thing. Thankfully she had been doing much better as of late but Rhyme could see the insecurity in her eyes; she still had a long way to go before she was fully healed
( ... )
Gaz felt a thrill rise in her, and looked over. She didn't think she recognized the girl, but the potion decided that not only was this unimportant, it was also a matter of the luck of the draw. It didn't help the girl was really cute in the tomboyish way that Gaz preferred girls anyway: not pretty and graceful and crap but scrappy and rough looking and headstrong. Which, of course, totally sucked in retrospect.
"Hey," Gaz said. "Yeah, well, I come here a little bit to think about stuff. Of course, it doesn't help that the last time I was here I was dragged off and buried in the ground. Still, can't blame the gravestones for that, right? So what are you doing here, uh, didn't get your name?"
Rhyme was a little surprised at how casually the other girl spoke about being buried, particularly since she looked to be about her age. As much as Rhyme would like to think that she wouldn't have let such an experience destroy her, she was no fool--she knew that she would require several days, perhaps even weeks to get back on her feet.
If she was alright though, that was wonderful. There was little point in agonizing over what couldn't be changed, after all.
Rhyme chuckled a bit at the blaming the gravestones bit and nodded "Right. I'm Rhyme." she introduced and looked around a bit before returning her gaze to Gaz, "Nothing in particular. I couldn't really sleep so I just decided to go for a walk and ended up here. What's your name?"
Lousy kid shouldn't be cute, Gaz thought to herself. If it was an adult, they'd be able to call her creepy and get away and be done with it. Gaz wouldn't have felt guilty then. That it was someone that was her age made it so much harder to resist, and much more aware that everything about this situation was messed up. What did she know about the stupid tea and its effects on everyone?
"Gaz membrane, very pleased to meet you," Gaz blurted out, trying not to move closer to the girl. "I was just admiring the scenery. This is one of my favorite places to go. I'm kinda affiliated with the dead more than anyone else, without being a zombie and stuff. It freaks people out, but whatever. I like the stillness and all. Probably why being buried wasn't as horrible to me: it was just really quiet and boring. Still was a messed up thing to do though."
Hard as she tried though, she WAS moving closer to the girl. She smelled...good somehow, and looked pretty.
