Duo was nervous. Clearly, this Wufei had expected someone else. He wasn't sure if it was a time difference or a world difference, as he'd seen both and various combinations of it since he'd been here. He bit his lip as he made his way over to the Vri level. He paused outside Pente, never actually having visited Relena at her place, either. Staring at the door for a few moments, his hand hovered, hesitating, before giving a few firm knocks. No sense in letting Wufei know he was nervous, right?

He shoved his hand back into his pocket, like his other one... a small habit that indicated he was a bit uncomfortable with the current situation.

Wufei crossed the room in several strides, opening the door without preamble. The young man standing in front of him certainly seemed to be the Duo he remembered. That was going to make this more difficult, not less. It would be easier to divorce himself of the notion that this was the young man he'd been working with off and on for several months if he'd looked different.

"You certainly look the same," he said, holding the door open so that Duo could enter.

"Heh... yeah, well... sometimes I feel the same," Duo teased as he stepped in. He took a quick glance around, but most of the apartments, aside from personal items, were identical, so he knew the layout well enough. He turned and gave Wufei a quick smile before turning serious. "I think we need to talk," he said.

"Agreed," Wufei said, nodding sharply as he closed the door. He did not bother to offer Duo a seat or refreshment -- unlike (different, older, tired) Quatre, he felt no need to play pretend host in a home that was not his own. "I can no longer afford to make assumptions."
