The queen approached him from the direction he was not looking: a tall woman in old leather armor and a ragged cloak, striding confidently. A quiver bristled over her right shoulder. The light was not kind to her bluish skin, but she carried herself as though unconcerned with such things as her own appearance. When she drew close, her eyes narrowed as she studied him curiously. She had noticed his coordinated moves from afar.

His head swiveled quickly to the other side as he heard her soft approach. His body might have tensed for the split second before she said his name before relaxing again. She was from a different world; he wasn't too big a surprise, then, that she would look different. He let his gaze wander over her briefly and then gave a nod.

"Sylvanas Windrunner, I presume then?" he replied emotionlessly.

((Ooo, pretty. If we're going for show and tell: here. ^__^!))

John turned to fully face the elven warrior and stared dispassionately at her. "I thought perhaps you would like to decide," he replied. But he did not wait for a response before continuing. "However, since you are looking for a suggestion: I prefer the art of the sword when not using Gun Kata in true combat."
