Mai opened the door after a few moments. She had been setting up the shogi board and starting some tea. It was polite to offer tea.

"Are you Faye?" She asked, her tone sounding mostly indifferent.

"I am if you're Mai," Faye replied with a small, teasing smile.

She studied Mai surreptitiously, as was her habit upon meeting a new person. She was quite a bit younger than Faye, and appeared to be Japanese or Chinese, as Faye was herself. She had a bored expression on her face, which Faye thought just about figured, considering the circumstances of their meeting. She wore significantly more clothing than Faye habitually did, but that was the case with most people.

((Argh, sorry this took so long. More RL madness. -_-;; ))

"I am." Mai said, bowing her head a bit before stepping back to let Faye in. It was an older woman, but being the child of a nobleman, she was used to being around adults. "Come in."

"Then I'm Faye~," she replied. She nodded when the younger girl invited her in, stalking into the apartment, eyeing it with bored appraisal.
