Eko was praying. It didn't matter that it was the middle of the night. He had been unable to sleep, plagued by troubled dreams and so instead of tossing and turning he had gotten up from the bed he had created in the back of the church and gone to kneel before the alter. That had been over an hour ago, and he had not moved in that time, head bent over his clasped hands, dark eyes closed.

The church was cold, especially given the recent snow but he hardly seemed to notice, and had certainly not bothered to put a jacket on over the garb of a Catholic priest he always wore. He was too focused to notice. If someone were to enter the building, though, he would certainly be aware of it.

It was a nightmare about Yemi that had woken him, as usual, and it was always hard to keep the memories his brother off of his mind.

Finally he stood looking surprisingly peaceful given his inner turmoil and met the eyes of the stranger. He did not seem the least bit surprised to have a visitor to the church at this late hour, just smiled, nodded slightly, and said, "Hello."

The young male was still looking around and enjoying the feeling these walls gave him when the other had finished his prayer. Though if anyone was to ask if he was seeking comfort he'd likely snap back with a different reason for his search. He only knew the basics, and what Balcoff wanted to teach. At that point it was all somewhat believable when he was young. Now with Balcoff gone, as he looked back upon the teachings, he noticed the manipulation and brainwashing techniques clearly ( ... )
