Of course Mai would come. She came everytime Azula called. Her friend needed her. She knew Azula wasn't as invincible as most people saw. Which was why when her strength finally did falter, Mai would be there to help her friend.

Mai knocked on the door of the apartment, waiting for an answer.

Azula moved to the door. Obviously it wasn't Mercury or she would have just come in. Azula opened the door and gave Mai a smile. "It's been awhile! I hope you'll forgive how long I've put this off, but I had a few things that needed to be taken care of. As you can see, it became necessary for me to relocate. I had no reason to stay in my former quarters."

Azula motion to the take already set for them, with a cup tea poured for both. Azula dd not give off the aura of stern Fore nation princess just now. Instead she seemed relatively tranquil, almost pensive.

"How have you fared since that last attack? I've already seen the pitiful display of dealing with this situation these fools have to offer, now I want to know what my best friend is thinking."

"Probably best." Mai said as she walked in. "It seems the one who took over Zuko's mind was your roommate. She hasn't returned there from what I can tell." She added. At least every time she checked and it seemed the woman had been more scarce when she did visit Azula.

Mai sat down, picking up a tea cup and took a sip. "...I want to learn a way to counter the lightning. And I want to find a way to take down that Goddess for what she did to Zuko." She answered.

"And you, Azula?" She asked, studying her friend, to make sure she was being truthful. Of course, if she was upset enough that Mai could tell, then it was something to be worried about.

Azula's face darkened. "Is that right? Well, she will have to be dealt with then. She seemed all right, almost saccharine at first, but going after Zuko is a bit far. Still, you are his girlfriend, I'll have to settle with assisting you." Azula let an amused smile come to her lips.

At her next query, Azula looked doubtful. "You would only be able to do it in a man made way. You can't counter lightning the way Zuko and I can...actually, its extraordinary Zuko and i can do it. The method is more waterbender than anything, and you never had that ability, water, fire or otherwise. Not that its mattered. Your knife skill alone are the heart of Fire Bending."

Azula took a quiet sip of tea. "Scared. I'm not ashamed to admit it. I saw Zuko fall, then my best friend. There are hardly words for something like that. When the lightning came for me, I thought I had died accomplishing nothing but a simple reprieve for an already stained conscience."

Mercury poked a head into Azula's room, knocking on the doorframe gently. "Open for visitors?" asked the water senshi with a smile. Her form was in a pair of blue pajamas with a bubble pattern, her feet in fluffy slippers.

Azula smiled. "Of course," She replied. "I meant to tell you I was sorry I did not get to meet my other roommate. She was a senshi, but I was told the other Mercury favored her, and if you're roommates I assume you did as well. Oh, and by the way, the pajamas are too cute for words."

Mercury nodded, looking a bit sad as she entered, sitting on the bed. "Mars," she replied, "Fire soldier. An ally... We weren't as close as she was to my twin, but we got along." She smiled a bit. "I will still miss her... As it stands, it's just me, now." She laughed a bit. "It's a bit scary, knowing that aside from your enemy, you're the only one left from your world..." She was of course talking about the Serenity that was left.

"Despite that," she said as she looked up, "I know full well that I'm not alone."

"You are not," Azula said. "In truth, I'm glad for this arrangement. I suppose I wanted it because while I might be able to move in with my best friend or my brother, it wouldn't be in my interest right now. It may be strange, but after hearing about your world, I don't think I want to be away from that. The story of the senshi is a fascinating one, and I have come to respect the one that carries the name of Mercury."

Azula nodded over to the tea, now refilled. "Would you like some tea?"
