Tim leaned against the wall, waiting.  They had found one of the Joker's caches of explosives, and now all they needed was for the man to come back and check on them, so he could be dealt with.

It would be swift.  Bullet to the head.  Duo didn't want to mince words but he suspected Tim might say something arrogant, even after the lecture on the subject. He waited against the opposite wall, watching in the opposite direction, scritching a nail against the grip of his pistol.

From down the hallway, somewhere in the darkness, came the creak of a door and swish of a long coat. The Joker. He was here to check on his supplies having found them tampered with at an earlier date.

Tim's eyebrow went up, and he shot Duo a brief smile.  Gone was the frightened teenager that had *last* met the Joker.  This time, he wasn't afraid--and he was a lot more dangerous.

More confident then cocky, as he was last time with the clown, he returned Tim's smile and turned to the Clown.  Cocking the gun and readying it.  He would shoot to wound, Tim could have the kill.

The Joker wasn't at all surprised to find the two standing beside the wall where he'd hidden a few bags of gunpowder. "Well, well, if it isn't Duo and Timmy Boy," his voice rang out from the shadows as he emerged. "Didn't mean to keep you waiting."

Tim blinked.  That was right.  Someone had told the Joker his name.  Well.  It wouldn't matter much in a few minutes.  He gave the Joker a cool smile.  "We weren't waiting long."

From out of the shadows a low, soft, but very feminine voice whispered, "Now boys. Don't you know it’s not nice to point guns at people." The voice appeared to be coming from somewhere behind them, facing in the Joker's direction.

Duo turned on the heel, leaving Tim to keep an eye on Joker.  "Who are.." he paused, giving the girl a once over.  "Who the heck are you, anyway?"  Oh great, just what they needed.

"Oh, just a girl taking a nightly pleasure walk in the back alleys of this hell hole" The Princess stepped out of the shadows into what little light there was and smiled at the three men in front of her. "You can call me Princess, and please, no sarcasm." She smiled sweetly, almost innocently.

"Following me, Princess?" He grinned as she stepped forth from the shadows. Being who he was, the Joker hadn't come to this little 'meeting' unprepared, but he also hadn't expected the Princess to make an appearance. His dark eyes flashed from her to the two men. Duo, he could see, was armed but this had little effect on his confidence.

The Princess smiled and stepped forward towards the Joker extending her hand, "Now why would I be following you?  I was just out looking for a little fun. Guess I found some."

Tim raised an eyebrow.  This was not what he had expected.  He'd thought the Joker would be alone--it would certainly have made things a little easier.  The presence of an additional person didn't alter his plans, however.  He tightened his grip around the pistol he was hiding under his cape.

Duo looked from the girl to Tim, then the Joker.  Ignore her.  He raised his gun in a flick of speed, glanced at Joker and fired.  If his aim was true, the bullet would hit the lower chest, if it was off, probably would end up being higher. Shoulder.

Of course, the Joker was ever wary of Duo's weapon and at the sudden instant of movement, dropped to avoid what he could. The bullet burrowed into his shoulder and he hissed in pain and anger.  But he was far from dropping out of the game. With a swift sweep of his other arm, he sent a grenade in Duo and Tim's direction and ran to avoid the explosion.

A grenade?  Really.  In a lightning motion, Tim traded the gun for his staff, and whipped it out, extending it so that he could swing it at the grenade like a baseball bat.  [Whack!]  The grenade went up into the air like a fly ball, and exploded high, raining debris down on them, but failing to injure anyone.
