Lyserg was unsure exactly why he'd requested to meet with this stranger in the plaza. It had something to do with the fact that he felt comfort in finding someone about as confused as he was whom he could tolerate; though her strength and power would be a definitive factor in deciding whether or not he would be willing to become friends with this girl after meeting her and finding out more. It also had to do with her being a slave. Something about it struck a chord with him, and he nearly offended her in his surprise and meddling, he was sure of it ( ... )

She noticed almost instantly as the young, green-haired boy had approached. Instinctively, she drew back, clutching the bottom of the fountain's structure, trying to remain out of view. It was obvious that the young man had seen her, and very blatantly coming towards her. Swallowing, she could feel her heart beating rapidly, fear and anxiety engulfing her entire being as usual.

Was this young boy her master? Or was he merely there to punish her?

Hearing him address her in a much softer tone than she expected, she replied, "H-hello, Master." She wasn't certain if he was her master, but she didn't want to make the mistake of not recognizing him.

If anything would assure Lyserg of the girl's identity, it was that: she called him 'master' ... which again, took him by surprise. He stared down, eyes slightly dilated, and quickly drew the apparent conclusion. She didn't know who he was either, as neither of them had exchanged names when they spoke over the messenger. Lyserg took a step back and closed his eyes halfway with a sigh. "No, I'm sorry. I'm Lyserg." He kneeled down to meet C.C's level and looked at her. "The one you spoke with earlier."

Out of instinct, C.C. drew back slightly. He may have seemed kind - in both his words and manner of movement - but so had some of her previous masters. It was always best to just stay out-of-view. "My...my name is C.C.," she stated, softly, in case he wanted to know her name.
