Summary: Morty is getting very tired of feeling useless, so Johann's agreed to pick his brain and see if he's capable of using more powerful psychic powers.

Johann opened the door and stepped back for Morty to come in. It was kind of convenient for this meeting to take place in his room. If he needed to consult with Quatre he could simply ask the boy to come out of his room. At least, Johann thought he was still in his room. That leg injury was probably annoying the pilot if just for the fact that getting around wasn't very easy at the moment. Anyway, Johann couldn't be sure; he tried not to pry too much, and it usually helped for the boy to be in the same room as himself to get the psychic emanations from him.

"Welcome, mein Freund," the Austrian spirit greeted as the other walked in.

Morty nodded. "Hello, Johann." He tried not to look startled at the spirit's appearance; it was helped by the fact that he'd seen stranger Pokemon. He assumed there was a good reason for his wearing what Morty could only describe as a rather odd space suit. "I have to admit, I've never had someone read my mind before."

Johann shut the door behind Morty's entrance and turned to the young man with an idle wave of one valved hand. "Then you should be at ease for I will not so much be reading your mind as your abilities," Johann said informatively. He would feel it pertinent to explain thoroughly before actually getting into things. "I do not 'read minds' as most would think of it. Your thoughts will be beyond me; as well as memories and feelings, although the latter I can pick up sometimes in times of high duress." He waved a hand dismissively. Johann had the habit of talking with his hand, Morty might notice. "I will be merely searching your abilities, feeling what is or is not there in correspondence with my own."

"I see." Talking with his hands Morty could deal with - he tended to like to be able to pick up on people's emotions, and the fact that he couldn't really see Johann's face too well made that more difficult. "So it's closer to empathy, like Quatre has, then."
