Ahiru skipped along near the pond as she nibbled on some bread. She thought about taking a swim, but it was starting to get too chilly for that. That didn't stop her from coming out to the pond, however. She enjoyed the view.

Except, apparently, when big winged things showed up. The only thing which prevented Ahiru from quacking at the sight was a crumb of bread going down wrong, which set her to coughing.

Soma and Gaibon both turned at the sound, Gaibon giving a squawk before taking flight. Soma spotted the girl near the pond and he began walking over. "Are you alright?" He called out genuine concern in his tone and voice as he walked. His steps were even and steady, his white coat still quite immaculate despite it's time in the compound. Gaibon stayed aloft as Soma neared...

((OOC: Soma acts a lot older but looks the same as he did before. Just more lofty? I guess you could say...

Ahiru managed a nod as she cleared her throat a bit. The man sounded nice, which set her at ease a bit. Although that did't stop her from looking up nervously at the sky to find that other thing.

"Hmm?" Soma looked up at Gaibon and smiled faintly. "Oh you mean Gaibon? I see... Well I'll send him away for a bit then." He replied before letting Gaiba fade out of sight. What a... well she was rather a cute little girl.

Gaibon faded away while Soma continued to study the dainty girl.

It hadn't exactly been a hostage crisis, but Leon figured negotiating with a vigilante for the raw materials to make gun parts was the closest he'd gotten here so far. He was dreading the day that blot-faced Piper would collect on the favors owed him.

So now, the ex-cop was seated under a tree, sifting through the scraps of metal Rorschach had finally let him have. That was when a flap of leathery wings in the night air caught his attention. Some of the cold outside must have seeped into his pores and frozen his blood. Because for a moment or two, he couldn't even reach for a gun. Not at the sight of the blue-skinned red-eyed demon watching over Soma.

Dark Lord. For some reason those words were coming to Leon's mind now.

Slowly he lifted a hand and waved at Soma, at a loss for words in the meantime.

Soma turned his gaze to focus on Leon a slow smile creeping upon his face. Well finally, someone who wasn't a pile of weeping sorrow. He turned his steps and walked towards Leon patiently while Gaibon hovered in the air behind him.

"It's been a while since we last saw each other... I believe it was right before the Keepers returned." He noted as an introduction when he got in ear shot.

Leon forgot his initial apprehension and clapped Soma on the shoulders, let his hands stay there for a bit. He'd really missed the kid. "Must've been something I tossed into those burgers." he quipped, then nodded past Soma at Gaibon. "If that's one of many soldiers you've got in your army, I'd hate who to know who else you've got waiting in the ranks."

"This whole compound is an army at my disposal." He replied with a smile as he stood there, relishing in the feeling of not having to be the older brother/caretaker for a moment. "Some are very alluring though if you want to meet one of them." He offered with a smirk on his lips. "I hope you've been well all this time since then?" He asked as well.
