Sam's first thought as consciousness slowly filtered back was that he seemed to be making a habit of this. He pushed himself slowly to his feet, wincing in anticipation of pain, surprised when there was none save the faint twinging of muscles kept still too long on the cold ground. He looked around himself, eyes narrowed warily. Econtra, the familiar buildings not good as new, but not changed from what they had been before the visions started. He bit the inside of his cheek, choking back anger that as yet had no specific direction ( ... )

Sarah kept going when he walked over, meeting her part of the way. She threw her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly. "Oh, thank goodness!" Sarah said in a rush, her bottom lip trembling, tears welling up in her eyes.

She'd seen him die. And now he was up, standing and talking. Sarah couldn't be more relieved at that fact. Nevermind that moments before he'd gone and gotten himself killed that she'd kissed him in a moment of perfect lucidity.

Sarah's arms ached a little from holding onto him so tightly, standing on tiptoe, so she could actually get her arms around his neck.

"Hey," Sam began quietly. He wrapped his arms around her in turn, though gently rather than with the ferocious force she seemed to be applying. He leaned down a little, both to make the hug a little less awkward given their differences in height, and in tacit offer of a shoulder to cry on should she need it. "Hey, it's all right." It wasn't, really. With the cuffs gone and one of the factions of Entropi present, it would have been pretty much the opposite of all right even had there not been some strange illusion of mass death immediately previous. But acknowledging that? Hardly productive.

This place had been more upside down than the Labyrinth had ever been. At least there she didn't have to worry about dying one minute and being alive the next. She frowned when she didn't feel that familiar ring around her wrist when she'd hugged him, having not paid attention to it earlier.

Sarah released the hug slowly, looking at her wrists. "I...um..." Sarah lifted her green gaze to meet his, full of confusion. "I didn't do that," Sarah said, shaking her head, her dark hair shifting from one shoulder to the other.
