Characters: AU!Kaiba Seto, AU!Jounouchi Katsuya, OU!Kaiba Mokuba Where: The Plaza When: Not too long after waking up Summery: Kaiba goes to 'talk' to Jounouchi. Warnings: Sarcasm, some anger possibly....and a kiss.
He didn't really see what the big deal was. It wasn't as though they were dead, anyway - what should it matter if Jounouchi had pushed Kaiba out of the way or not? Besides, Kaiba had done the same for him, more or less.
He hadn't moved, yet, from where he had collapsed - he'd sat up, yes, but he didn't really feel like standing up yet, and there was no particular need for doing so at the moment, even though he could have if he wanted to. Right now, he was just happy to be alive, happy to hear that Yugi was alive, happy that everyone was alive, rubbing his wrist a little because it felt a little weird to not have the cuff there, now...
She looked over at Jounouchi for a moment as he stuttered. The look clearly said that she'd tell him when they were alone. She ran a hand through her hair. "You're not dreaming Mokuba. And...we all died." She said sadly. "I held you in my arms again as you died."
She ran a hand through her hair, a sad look in her eyes.
Mokuba stared at Seto, looking guilty and apologetic. "Neesama...I...I'm sorry. I just saw...I couldn't just stand there....I didn't want to hurt...." Mokuba trailed off and chose to just hug Seto then.
Though rather annoyed that Kaiba would forcibly push back the subject until later, he held his tongue. If there was one thing he agreed on, it was that it would be insanely awkward to discuss, especially in front of Mokuba.
Instead, he simply stood off to the side, deciding that this argument was not one that he wanted to argue. He'd let the Kaibas do their thing, and then he'd have his discussion with the elder one after.
She held Mokuba close, her eyes closing as she placed her cheek on the top of his head. "Don't be sorry, Mokuba. You're here now and that's all that matters." She closed her eyes for a moment, just holding her brother close.
She would indeed talk with Jounouchi later. She just didn't want to talk about things like this with Mokuba around.
Mokuba hugged Seto tightly for a minute before everything started to catch up in his mind. He glanced over at Jounouchi. "So...were we all brought back to life?"
"It's... hard to tell whether we actually died or if it was just an illusion," Jounouchi replied, his initial shock fading with each passing second but still hiding his gaze from the Kaiba siblings. He could feel that his face was still flushed, after all.
"It seems that way." Kaiba sad, pulling away from her younger brother for a moment. "Something else has happened." She held up the wrist that once had the cuff on it. "The cuffs are gone." She said.
"Which could be a good thing," Jounouchi said quietly, his gaze floating out the door, "or a bad thing. There are a lot of crazy people out there - who knows what some of them would do without the cuff to prevent them from hurting anyone." After all, if there were people capable of brainwashing Yugi...
"Anything can happen now." She said, looking from Mokuba to Jounouchi. She really didn't care what happened to most of the other people in this place, but she would do what she could to protect Mokuba and help Jounouchi out, even though she would deny trying to help him at all. She was just that odd.
"It would probably be better to stay indoors," Jounouchi commented, thinking the situation over briefly. "The walls can provide cover, at the very least."
Kaiba nodded a little bit. "You should stay with me, Mokuba." She was going to be rather protective of this Mokuba even if he wasn't her younger brother.
"Not much protection. We just don't become direct targets." Mokuba said, looking up at Kaiba. "...all right." He said with a nod. "That would be a good idea."

His tone wasn't one of rage, though, but of shock and surprise and possibly slight fear, and his face was flushing.

Mokuba paused and looked at his wrist. "...they are."
