Finding Luke would've proved more difficult if not for the informal Jedi training given to her by Shaak Ti. The Force signatures of her children were among the first she'd learned to recognize, which wasn't difficult, being that she'd already had a raw understanding of what those close to her felt like. All it took was a little guidance and direction to perfect the technique. With the way he was reacting within the Force, though, it made tracking him all the more easier, as well as amplifying her desire to find him. There was something wrong, he felt...panicked? She couldn't tell. The two years of training she'd received had taught her a lot, but it hadn't taught her everything.

When she found him, she froze--even before her eyes caught the hand going to the blaster. That hair. That blonde hair. It was the same color...

"Luke?"

Hearing her voice again...

Luke wasn't sure how he remembered. He was only five then. But it was just as he remembered it; a sweet melody that calmed his nerves and soothed his very being. His hand fell from his blaster as he stood up and hastily turned around, hoping against hope that it was truly the person he thought it was.

"Mother..." he whispered, unable to believe who he was seeing.

To see just how much he resembled his father startled her at first. The boy was the spitting image of Anakin and could've easily been her fallen husband's double if not for the inches the elder Skywalker had and the younger didn't. Anakin towered over just about anyone and she assumed it was her short genes that prevented their son from reaching his father's full height.

"Oh, Luke," she breathed with a smile and went to him. Padmé stopped, just before him, and held her arms open in welcome. He was grown now, seemingly in his late teens if appearances were anything to judge by. She didn't want to coddle him, even though the desire to was hard to ignore. If he wanted to be embraced, she'd let him make the decision for himself.

It really was her. There was no doubt about that now. Nothing seemed to have changed, at least from what he remembered about her.

And Luke didn't have second thoughts about running into his mother's arms.

"You came back..." he whispered.
