Characters: OU Querl Dox, OU Brainiac 5 Where: The sky, over the church When: The morning after Querl arrives Summary: A meeting between two Brainies Warnings: None yet
The young Coluan arrive early by twenty five seconds, flying into the designated airspace. He was curious about this older fellow who, though born Querl Dox of Colu and also possessing a twelfth level intellect, and was so, for lack of a better word, alien in parallelism to Brainy. He was.. human. As far as Brainy was concerned, Querl was as human as a Coluan could be. He didn't know how to feel about that, considering his ambitions and his recent ordeal.
He crossed his arms, waiting until he saw the other approach, giving a curt nod as he observed the other from head to toe. Interesting.. hair.
Seeing the android version of himself ahead, Querl slowed his flight, easing over towards what would be an acceptable conversational distance without being too close. Why did he have the uncanny feeling he was approaching some sort of small, wild animal that might run off if he twitched wrong?
Perhaps the other version of himself was wiser than he'd been when younger. If Querl had been able to see all of his future before joining the Legion, dark and light bits together, perhaps he'd have turned around and run instead. Not that the alternate Coluan seemed afraid, really. Just cautious, wisely so.
Looked over, he looked back in turn. A very intricate costume, and employing some of Brainiac's original head emblem. "Well, I must be at least as much a surprise to you as you are to me..." One of them had to start the conversation somewhere, even with the obvious.
Brainy nodded, "Indeed. Clearly there are anomalies and unknown factors in the multiverse that are worth attention.. But as we know from history files.." He trailed off, citing many of the crisis' that have occurred in Earth's past.
Brainy had occasionally wondered what it would have been like, had the core legionnaires all been older, and not just in their late teens, early twenties, as the Lightning Lad here was.
Some of the mentioned history was familiar, some entirely strange. He listened to it all, nodding, filing away the unfamiliar bits to ask about later. Or possibly not. If they went through all the differences between their timelines it could take all day...
"You mentioned something about demonstrating the origin of Colu as a world of androids. I'm still interested in that," Querl offered, after the other Brainy had seemed to be finished with his own list. "If you have any questions for me, of course, I'll answer as well."
