Summary: Under Haruhi's leadership, the SOS Brigade attempt to get a certain couple married. Uh-oh.

Vows at the Church

Normally, Saetan would not have minded being recruited for this sort of thing; he had volunteered, after all. Weddings and handfasts were part of when it meant to be a priest. But then Tersa and Jaenelle had vanished, like people so often did in this place, and his entire life had frozen. He had gotten past the cold, deadly rage that had consumed him for the past few days since he had realized his daughter had vanished, and wasn't worried about doing anything stupid today. Breaking down at a wedding would just be unfair to everyone else.

He looked almost too calm as he stood waiting by the alter for things to begin, leaning on his cane and trying to stay in the shade. Maybe performing this ceremony would help him get his mind off of things.

Xiao Lang was standing at the alter. How did he get into this? Oh, right. Tricking him into playing dress up so they could force him into a wedding, see if he ever takes any of them seriously again. He clenched a hand into a fist and mouthed Sheifa, I'm going to kill you.

The church doors dramatically flung open, and Ying Fa was standing there in her gown, blushing furiously. A wedding. Her wedding. Yeah, she was engaged, but still! She never really thought that this day would come to pass. Not in her dreams. And she was marrying Xiao Lang, too...

She suddenly felt like she was going to cry.

She walked down the aisle, her heart racing. This wasn't a dream, was it? And every step, which brought her nearer and nearer to her waiting groom, confirmed that. Not a dream. They were really getting married. There was a priest and they had an entourage and oh my God, all these people! They came just to help and be with them...

She was soon standing beside Xiao Lang at the altar. She had butterflies in her stomach, but that didn't mean she didn't want this. She reached out to take his hand, blushing some more.

Saetan raised an eyebrow at the the groom mildly, suppressing a chuckle despite everything. The ceremony was a surprise for the boyo alright. Well he'd just carry on and not comment.

He had just composed his face into something properly serious when the doors opened and Ying Fa appeared. A very small part of him objected to a couple marrying at such a young age, but that tiny voice was easily drowned out by the rest of him, which could notice nothing but how happy she looked. "You look lovely, my dear." He murmured softly, accompanying the words with an encouraging smile.

Raising his voice so everyone could here - Mother Night, how long had it been since he had done this? - he said, "Thank you all for joining us today. I've been informed the two of you will be wanting to say your own vows." He shot the two a quick look that clearly said, want me to keep talking for a minute more, or are you ready for this?
