Thwack!

Duo opened an eye as he lazily lay in a gently swaying hammock strung between two ancient trees that loomed over head, providing just the right amount of shade from the glare of the morning sun. He ran in the the morning, his routine, kept him busy. Didn't really matter but it helped keep his mind off the blatantly obvious truth of the fact they were probably all going to die.

He pulled himself up to sit, scratching his arm and pulling his disheveled shirt down to meet the rim of his jeans. Looking around, he slid off the hammock and stood, walking around to head for the treeline, approximately where he had heard that weird noise. It wasn't too much of a stretch to say he was bored, or he just wanted to do more then just lay around.

He eventually reached the stretch of land, and looking to his right, sure enough, there she was, bow in hand. "Hey princess."

Cissie frowned a little. At least that arrow hit closer. Eight was okay. It wasn't ten, but she maybe should have expected to be rusty. It had been a while since her last practice. She glanced over when she heard Duo approaching and tried not to frown when he called her "princess." It normally wouldn't faze her, but her time as a six-year-old was still so recent. That combined with the trauma of "seeing" her dead father... It wasn't a pet-name she was thrilled to hear.

"Hi Duo," she said, reaching for another arrow. It wasn't his fault and he didn't need her lashing out at him for something he didn't even know would bother her. "What are you up to out here?"

Duo shrugged and sauntered over to where he stood a yard behind her. "I got up before noon, big shock, and did some running, took a breather in the hammock over there... You know.. whatever it takes to keep sane.." and keep away from the idiots back in town. He made a face at that thought, and replaced it with an easy relaxed smile.

"How's.. target practice?" De ja Vu.. at least it wasn't Surreal..

Cissie gave a wry smile. Trying to keep sane was something she was familiar with--it was basically why she was out here, after all. "It's fine," she answered. "I haven't practiced in a while--it's a good thing my coach doesn't know."

Cissie was placing another arrow on her bowstring when Quatre approached and she looked up. Her stomach twisted. Once she'd gotten over the initial shock of the transformation--and baked twenty dozen muffins to do so--and the crushing grief of seeing and touching her father like she hadn't for twelve years, and once she had digested the fact that it hadn't been him at all, Cissie had been feeling increasingly guilty and embarrassed about the way she reacted. She knew she couldn't blame herself and if Tim or Kon had known she was feeling that way, they would probably yell at her and throw logic at her.

It didn't change the fact that she had been meaning to find a way to apologize to Quatre, all the while not completely sure how she would feel and act when she saw him.

As it was, she still didn't know, but there he was and she lowered her bow, easing the tension on the string. She could feel her face heating and she managed a small smile. "Hi."

Cissie nodded and busied herself with putting the arrow back in her quiver. She straightened and set one of her bow on the ground, holding one end in her hands. She toyed with the tip, looking at it to similarly avoid looking at Quatre. She wasn't angry--she just didn't know what to say.

"Yeah," she said, once she realized it was getting awkward--more awkward. "I really haven't practiced since I came here. My coach would have a fit if she knew." She took a breath and forced herself to look up at him. "It... helps me think."

The park was probably one of the more ideal locations for just lounging and a little practice of her own, but a fairly unfamiliar sound was more than enough to drag one out of their own forms of practice. Or meditation, whichever someone would like to call what the Spartan was up to.

Frowning a little to herself Kelly slowly stood again, stretching out a little before wandering towards the source of the noise. It sound like a trajectory weapon but she couldn't be sure until she actually saw the object that was in her question.

But, unusual for her usual wanderings, she had her own weapon on her. A gun, sure, but still enough to keep her from feeling someone would shoot her in the face if she wasn't careful.

Upon getting close enough to gauge what was going on she stopped, just watching for the time being. An archaic weapon that one was, how odd.

Cissie was getting into a rhythm. Her shots were more or less landing nines or tens now, and her arms were starting to get that familiar--pleasant--ache that came from exercising her arm, shoulder and back muscles. She really should have started this again sooner.

She was reaching for another arrow when she felt someone watching her. She didn't stop, though. She put the arrow to her string and drew her bow. Aiming, she fired the arrow and watched it stick right in the center--a ten.

Cissie smiled and lowered the bow, turning to smile at whoever was watching. "Hello," she said, trying to be friendly.

It was quite interesting to watch someone using a bow again, it'd been far too long since she'd seen such a thing. Guns, those were the main things she knew about and that was usually what she ended up using when it came down to the fighting itself.

Though once she was noticed she jumped a bit, thoughts dissipating for a moment to give her brain some room to find a coherent word again. "Hey. Sorry if I'm bothering you, it's just been a while since I've seen a bow..." Way to sound stupid, Kelly.

Cissie's smile widened a bit. "You're not bothering me. Do you shoot?" she asked, indicating the bow. "I'm Cissie, by the way."

Mahaado needed some air, he was still crushed at upsetting Kaylee, and fearful of Kaiba's wrath. So he wandered the park, without the headdress or cape, in simplistic Priest robes when he noticed Cissie and began watching her, interested in what she was doing.

Cissie let another arrow fly, pleased to see she seemed to have shaken off the last of her rustiness. She'd been shooting since she was big enough to hold a bow and it was like second nature once she started. She felt someone watching her and glanced around to see who it was. When she spotted him, she offered a slight smile and nodded in greeting. "Hello."

"Greetings." He bowed slightly as he approached cautiously. "I am not intruding on anything am I?"

((OOC: This one comes with something new... MANNERS!))

Cissie shook her head, still smiling politely. "No. I'm just practicing."
