As usual, Takion was happily curled up on the couch with pen and paper. He'd seen his roommate's message about being stuck and needing some supplies, and was settled in to oblige in his own unique fashion when there was a pounding at the door.
Rather than answer right away, Takion simply tilted his head and listened. He didn't think he knew anyone with such a forceful knock. Part of his fun lay in trying to guess who it could be. The noise soon stopped, however. The temptation to go back to writing was offset by curiosity.
And so Takion rose from the couch and opened the door.
Surreal's large eyes grew wider at the unexpected but logical appearance of Takion at the door. Takion lived with Saetan and was quite close to the High Lord. But it was good to see him, so she offered a genuine and impatient smile.
He could listen just as easily. "You're not busy, are you?" she asked, half expecting a courteous request to return later. But she really didn't want to leave and bump into Lucivar on her way out. THAT was something she really didn't need.
With a warm smile, Takion gestured Surreal inside. "I am never too busy for a friend, Lady Surreal," he assured his unexpected guest. "Come in, come in. I would offer tea, but the teapot has been in a bit of a sulk lately. You're welcome to try to talk it into warming some water. Perhaps it would respond better to a lady's request."
Surreal wasn't exactly in the mood for tea, but she didn't want to be overtly rude at the request. Maybe a tiny project would help reign in her temper, too. "Where is the little whistle, then?" A glint of idle amusement formed at the corners of her mouth as she came into the apartment space. Diverting her attention, Surreal put the original (and selfish) reason for her visit on the back-burner, turning from left to right to find the teapot that had a small mind of its own.
