Characters: AU!Hakkai, OU!Goku Where: Near the bank When: After this. Summary: Goku is meatpuppet-ed, Hakkai wants to figure out why Goku's had a sudden change of personality. Warnings: Evil!Goku
Oh, the joy of having everyone wrapped around your little finger. Yes, there was something wrong with. A darkened shadow had crossed his face and he held himself like a predator would. He knew he was stronger, faster, and better then the lot of them. He knew he could destroy them all. Just didn't know how the hell he was going to that with these stupid cuffs in his way.
He leaned against the bank carelessly, glancing at the other with smoldering eyes when he felt him approach. He knew about "his" Hakkai, but how the hell was he to crumple this one? Guess he'd have to take a shot or beat him to the ground. Oh wait... cuffs. Damn it.
"Hey Hakkai~ Mustered enough courage to actually come see me!? I'm impressed."
As Hakkai got close enough to Goku, he could sense that there was more wrong than just a change of personality. His whole demeanor had changed. It was more like meeting a new person than seeing a new version of Goku.
And this Goku, unlike the one he'd come to know, was dangerous. Hakkai stopped with enough space between them to give himself time to react should this Goku decide to do anything. They might be fettered by the cuffs here, but people could still do a good bit of damage before the cuffs got them under control.
"I don't believe bravery had much to do with it. You're a friend, Goku."
"Friend is a state of mind," Goku replied with a slight sneer. The other had stopped with just enough ground between them, which meant Goku needed to be REALLY fast or just wait until he hit a button and caught Hakkai off guard. "You use other people to get to the top, or use them to waste time with when you have nothing else better to do. You don't actually have friends." He paused a moment, searching the other. "Not when the people you think of has friends would you stab you in the back as soon as opportunity strikes
( ... )
As Goku took a step forward, Hakkai stepped into a defensive stance, dropping one foot back a step and turning part-way to the side. Seeing that Goku had pulled out a weapon, Hakkai brushed the fingers of one hand along the shell of his ear, feeling the limiters there. Having never fought Goku, nor seen him fighting, he didn't know whether or not he would have to take them off if this came to blows.
"I'm very sorry for anyone who believes that of their friends," he said, eyes holding a steely sadness. He didn't think the real Goku thought that, and he couldn't imagine this version could really think it either, but it must have come from somewhere. To him, one of the few things that could be relied upon were one's friends.
