Ami-chan! Open the door!

She'd been reading a book, and Mercury had to take a moment to determine whether the sound had come from outside herself and her imagination. She couldn't think of anyone who could call her by that in that cheerful tone. A strange manifestation of her recent confusion towards the situation with the senshi Mars, since it seemed to be Mars' voice she heard? The princess Mars was still unconscious, as far as she knew.

I'm overthinking, she told herself and flipped another page.

Rei frowned for a moment, pursing her lips. The ice cream was going to melt if the water senshi didn't answer the door soon. Rei knocked on the door again, this time a little harder.

"Mercury! Damn it, open the door!"

Kunzite and everyone were out. The four roommates of Paj-Tessera got along well enough, but rarely intruded on each other's lives to a great extent and often went their separate ways. She did it, too, and so it had never bothered Mercury as much as it might have otherwise. As it was, however, there was no one else to answer the door when the insistent voice came again.

Damn it, open the door!

This was too much to believe it was a hallucination or fabrication of her mind. Mercury slipped a piece of paper into her book to mark her place, and stood up. She refused to run, but took large strides that brought her to the door quickly. When she opened it, she was still surprised to see Mars, holding a... picnic basket? Mercury raised an eyebrow.

"Good evening, Mars!" she greeted the other girl cheerfully, as if she hadn't taken her time about answering the door and hadn't almost avoided it entirely. Her eyes slid back to the basket.

"A gift?" the blue-haired girl teased.

This demeanor seemed to be different than the one the fire senshi seemed to have lately. She was happy - she seemed... to glow? Well, she was quite pleased, for some reason.

"Yes, and no. I thought we'd have a girl's night. I've got ice cream, and your favorite tea."

"Kunzite!" She didn't seem embarrassed by the situation. Perhaps the hours in this situation, with a friend, had made her forgetful of other parts of her current circumstances. Her smile seemed much more natural, much less forced.

Ami's bed was covered in very typical, very feminine, style. It included quite a few pillows. She shot her pajama'd companion a mischievous grin and then grabbed the closest one to throw it at Kunzite. Mars would catch on quickly and back her up, she was sure. Meanwhile, she was already reaching for another herself.

"Stay out!" She did laugh then, at the sheer ridiculousness if she had been seriously trying to chase him from the room with pillows.

Rei wasn't even mad that Kunzite had barged in on their little party. In fact, it was quite amusing. The look on his face was quite pricess actually. She really didn't know if it was amusement or confusion.

She quickly followed in her companion's actions, grabbing a pillow and launching it at Kunzite. She laughed, grabbing another. "Well, unless you want to join..."
