The mage closed the spellbook with a firm snap, sending it away for the moment. He walked past the apartment, now reimagined with illusions over everything. For someone walking in, the rooms looked nothing like the other apartments. Not to say that the illusion of a table wasn't one, it just looked like a table from his homeland. Not that was anything he could do about the kitchen, leaving it in a weird past/present feel, what with the fridge and all.
Opening the door he peered out... then Down. Past the spiky hair and looked at his Young Master, even if he was alive again, the Monster instinct still dictated rank to him. "Yugi, welcome, do come inside." He moved out of the way for the teen.
Though the look down wasn't quite as far as it used to be, Yugi was still just average height and would still be short in comparison to the older man. Yugi smiled at Mahado. "Hello Mahado-san." He said, walking into the room and pausing a moment in surprise before looking around in awe. "When...how did you do all this?!" He asked.
"Illusions, my homeland is gone, I can never return. But," his voice softened in something close to pleasure. "I can make anywhere I go look a bit more like it." He admitted before guiding Yugi in. "Anything you see is real, the illusion just gives it an appearance of my old rooms." As an example he knocked on the table. "Of course I'll restrict it to my own rooms once I have a room mate, but until then I'm stretching my legs."
Yugi looked at Mahado thoughtfully. He wanted to do something to ease that homesickness for him too, but at the moment, he didn't have any ideas. Yugi smiled. "I like it. It's cool." He said.
