Rolo jumped slightly, as Lelouch strode into the room and made his first inquiry. He had expected Lelouch to be suspicious and to demand the meaning behind his own vague responses, but had hoped it wouldn't be so soon. Rolo had wanted to keep Lelouch in the dark as long as possible, so that they could continue the charade as brothers for as long as possible. Unfortunately, the cursed truth spell that seemed to be affecting the entire grounds had changed this ( ... )

“...what?” That certainly... was not the response he was looking for, or one he could even hope to predict despite his ability to create and consider vast numbers of possible outcomes under multiple scenarios at the drop of a hat. Logically, Lelouch could only think Rolo was playing with him and had no intention of stopping just yet. However, he had to admit the particular subject matter of this game was rather...cruel. His little brother meant everything to Lelouch and Rolo was trying to tell him their entire relationship was fake? Was Rolo angry with him for not finding him sooner after all?...

“What are you trying to say?” he eventually asked, a twinge of hurt in his own voice, “Why would you even suggest such a thing? Have I upset you somehow?”
