Characters: Zuko (OU) & Mai (OU) [open to OU!Sokka to intrude at any point] Where: Ast-Tria When: evening, shortly after this Summary: Zuko promised Mai dinner. Warnings: none...yet.
Mai did notice Zuko more or less, ignoring her. However, after everything else that happened, that was fine. She trusted Zuko not to be doing anything unfaithful if they were dating, after all, and it hadn't been as long as other times have been.
She was a bit annoyed, but it was a bearable annoyance and unless Zuko was doing something that was troublesome and annoying tonight, she might not have a reason to make it known. But that was to be seen, which shouldn't be long now as she knocked on the door.
Zuko pulled the door open, knowing it to be Mai--and it if wasn't, they'd get the door slammed in their face, for he wasn't in the mood to deal with anyone else. Lucky for him, it was her and he grinned.
"Mai," he breathed, then stepped aside, motioning for her to come in. It felt natural, being around her and wearing Fire Nation clothes again. Almost like home if not for this stupid compound.
Mai walked inside, looking at the clothes for a few moments. "Decided you like them?" She asked, looking into his eyes and quirking an eyebrow slightly.
"I always like them," he said--though, that was really a half-truth. He'd started to hate them back in the Fire Nation before he left, but only because he'd been so frustrated and miserable while home that he temporarily developed a dislike for anything from the Fire Nation. Even himself. He'd gotten over it, of course.
