Triton smiled as he hurried down the hall to the music room. He couldn't hear the violin music now because the music room was the fancy soundproof kind, but he'd left the windows open before leaving yesterday and so he could hear Quatre's playing from outside the building earlier. Gripping his flute case a little more tightly, the brunet stopped in front of the music room and opened the door quietly, trying not to disturb the musician.

The pilot slipped in without a sound, locking the door behind him before leaning against the wall next to it, watching Quatre perform. He looked so much like the one in his world, it would have been easy to pretend he was back home if he wanted to.

Once Quatre was done with the piece he was currently one, Triton clapped his hands, cheering. "That was really good, Quatre," he said, stepping forward and placing his flute case down on the table in the middle of the room.

After his scales, Quatre had moved into a simpler piece he knew from memory. He quickly became lost in the music, beginning to add his own personal flourishes as his mood reflected, and failed to notice his sudden audience. As he came to a close, he slowly lifted the bow from the strings, only to be brought out his reverie by the sound of someone clapping. He turned in mild surprise as Trowa spoke to him.

He smiled. "Thank you," he said with no small amount of humility. Quatre had never been one to brag openly about his abilities.

Triton smiled and nodded his head before opening his flute case. "If I didn't know it wasn't the case, I'd say you've been spending everyday practicing. You're that good," he said, taking out his flute and several sheets of paper from a pocket on the velvet inside of the case's cover. Music sheets. Sliding them across the table towards Quatre's direction, the blonde would see that they were for violin and flute duets.

"I found these inside one of the cabinets here. I've arranged them according to difficulty but--" Triton looked up and grinned at his friend "--I think you'd be able to play any of them, no problem."

Quatre chuckled lightly as he looked over the music. "We'll have to see," he said. "It's one thing to play a song you're familiar with from memory, and quite another to follow the sheet music of one you've never seen." He smiled at Triton.

He selected the first one and placed it so they could both see it on a stand. "Let's try this one, shall we?" he suggested.
