Characters: OU: Pegasus Crawford, OPEN When: Daytime Where: The park Summary: Pegasus spends some quality time with his art supplies. Models welcome. ^_^ Warnings: Only Pegasus being irritating as usual.
Johan rambled through the park, having escaped the confines of Paj-Tria once again. He thought his counterpart and Juudai would be able to entertain themselves quite well without him around anyway, and he'd always preferred being outside as well.
As he wandered, he spied someone who looked vaguely familiar, and headed that way, curious to see if it was who he thought it was. It probably wasn't exactly who he was thinking of, but why be picky about some things?
It was during one of those breaks when Pegasus glanced up from his work that he noticed that he was not alone. He gave the newcomer a cheery wave.
"Good day to you, young fellow!" he greeted. Behind his silly smile, he was sizing the boy up. Obviously a duelist, he decided. After you'd seen as many of those as Pegasus had, you got to recognize the type. It was something in the way they carried themselves, as though they were always subconsciously a split-second away from drawing a card and declaring an attack. "Taking advantage of the salubrious weather, I see?"
Johan grinned some; he'd been right, this was Pegasus Crawford. Not the one from his world, he was certain of that. But a Pegasus was a Pegasus. "Yeah. Feels good to get out and into the sun." He stretched a little, taking a deep, long breath of the fresh air. It really was a beautiful day.
"Sunlight is the artist's friend," Pegasus agreed. "You can say what you will for the progress of modern man, but electric light will never be as good as a bit of good old-fashioned sunshine for lighting things properly." He displayed his half-finished picture, as though there needed to be any proof of what he was up to.
Hiiragi headed for the park, carrying the fighting stick which Andulvar had been trying to teach her to use. She enjoyed practicing, and spent her spare time doing so. It was her hope to be able to surprise Andulvar with her progress.
However, at the park was a sight the Macabre Dancer wasn't used to seeing in Econtra. It appeared that an artist had set up shop. Curious, Hiiragi altered her course to pay the man a visit and sneak a peek at his sketch pad.
"Well, of course!" Hiiragi said, peeking at the sketch pad. Drawing most certainly wasn't unfamiliar to her, since she normally had to sketch out her designs before she could put them together. She could tell that this fellow was an expert.
Riku was paying the park yet another visit today in hopes of getting some fresh air and practicing his fighting a bit later on. He had recently made a post about such, but right now he wasn't particularly looking for a challenge. Instead, he was content just taking in his surroundings, perhaps keeping his eyes peeled for any new or familiar faces. After all, it was the only thing he could really do, being stuck as a draftee.
However, the one thing that caught him by surprise was that of a strange man painting. In a place where people were generally kept as soldiers in a war, such a sight seemed odd, though not the strangest thing in the world. Still, curiosity beckoned Riku, and so he approached Pegasus.
Pegasus almost didn't see the new arrival. He was deeply absorbed in trying to get the whiskers just right on a drawing of some manner of hairy creature with a long fluffy tail and at least twelve legs. He didn't look up until the person was almost close enough to touch.
"Oh, hello there," he said. "I'm glad you showed up. Tell me what you think - is the coloring too light? I can't decide."
Riku took a moment to glance at the picture before coming up with an answer. Whatever it was, it certainly didn't look like any creature he'd seen before. Of course, being one who lacked artistic skills, it was hard for him to say whether or not it was too light, so he improvised.
"Looks fine to me, but I guess that all depends on what you're going for," he finally said. "Can't say I've seen anything like it before, either."
"I should hope not, considering that I just made it up," said Pegasus. He held the picture at arm's length and squinted at it a bit before taking it back and adding a few more shadows to its underside. "Monsters are a bit of a specialty of mine, really. It can be a job, to keep coming up with new ones."
It wasn't really a particularly surprising thing to find Larka wandering the park, seeing as she more or less lived there. Though humans were rather interesting, she was still a Varg, and as such she still had a certain amount of pride. The only times she went into the human-built city now, in fact, were when she had to scavenge for food.
She was wandering about that day when she noticed a human sitting there, doing... something. She wasn't quite sure what. And, naturally, she was curious, so she decided to sit down where she was and watch him, though not so close as to be intimidating, hopefully.
"I don't either," Larka replied. After all, that was why her kind was feared and hunted by humans in her world - they were Putnar, after all, which was something that the humans that lived alongside them thought was a bad thing. Here they were much more accepting, usually, though that might have had something to do with the safety measure that was the cuffs.
And now that she was noticed, she might as well ask. "May I ask what you're doing?"
Persephone had been out at the park that day tending to her flowers and making sure that they hadn't been trampled yet by some careless heathen. So far, so good it seemed. She had sworn to herself that she would beat anyone senseless if they dared to harm them, whether the cuff would allow her or not. The goddess would find a way.
Though there were usually other people at the park, for some reason the one drawing caught her attention and meandered over lazily, having nothing else planned that afternoon. With head tilted in curiosity, she tried to peer down at the drawing pad in order to catch a glimpse at what Pegasus was drawing. "What'cha doin'?"
"Paintin' pitchers," said Pegasus, slyly imitating her casual drawl. It sounded rather odd mixed with his own unique inflection. "Would you like me to make you one?"
Persephone returned his imitation by making a face, then laughing, amused. Silly mortals and their silly accents. "What would you make me?" She inquired, plopping herself down on the grass beside him casually, just enjoying being outside and in the sun.

A wolf? That's interesting. It was rare to see any real animals in Econtra.
"Hello there," he said. "It's all right - I don't bite."

"I'm painting," he said, holding up his sketch pad as proof. "I suppose wolves don't do much of that."
