It hurried to the location to find the suit of armor walking around. It floated out onto the water and looked up at the figure from the very edge of the bridge. "Having trouble, are we?"

The armor continued to walk a bit without Chief's implicit control. It made one circle around the bridge, almost as if debating on what it wanted to do, before finishing the loop right back where it had started--in front of the floating person. Then it halted.
The Chief had no clue how long this would last. He took advantage of what little time he might have. First off... that question. He tried not to think about why the question was asked so much as just getting it answered... for now. "Yes. I seem to be having difficulty with my suit. It's... possessed." He said the last word with an utter quiet deadpan.

"Enough." John commanded, speaking as though he were talking to a group of unruly marines. He wasn't sure if he were talking to his possessed armor or to the floating man, but one thing was certain: he meant it.

"The suit is like a second skin," John replied as his armor slowed even further, as if listening intently to the Spartan's words. He blinked, but didn't have the time to think about that right now. He continued instead. "But I'm currently having... problems." One could almost hear the grimace in his voice. "I could use a bit of help."

After a moment of this tense position, of the stoic armor standing completely and utterly still despite John's desire, nothing seemed forthright to happen. John let it slide, let his muscles relax and just stay where they were. He wasn't happy.
"It's my armor," he replied in a deadpan. His voice revealed nothing of his inner frustration and feelings. It was it's usual slightly mechanized monotone. "It has downloaded... something... and is malfunctioning. I cannot control it."

The Chief's helmeted head swiveled slightly in the direction of the girl. He was beginning to see a pattern here. Whatever it was, it was curious.
John tried nodded his head in acknowledgment, but the entity, whatever it was, didn't seemed inclined to allow him even that simple move. His mechanized voice called out in reply instead. "Ma'am."

"A simple 'your highness' will suffice, thank you," the girl called with bravado from the safety of her tree. At least it was safe for now, unless the monster decided to go on a rampage, which she dearly hoped wouldn't happen.

"Yes, ma--your highness," John replied with an odd note to his voice. He decided then and there he would at all costs avoid ever using that title ever again. He didn't like it.
"May I ask your name?"
