Duo could hear vague exaggerated screeching of women and teen girls all about in his floor, he needed air. Espeically after the argument he had with his new roomie. Stupid bastard. Stupid fucking little lurk. He wasn't lustful, for whatever reason, but he was rightfully pissed the hell off.

He was going to run, lay in his hammock, kick the ass of anyone who moved too close, and... "Hi Relena.." he said, mid mental rant as he passed her and continued on. He blinked a moment, stopped and turned to look to her. Was she okay in all this? And for the record, why the hell was he concerned anyway?

She hadn't expected anyone to bother her or recognize her, but at least the voice that spoke to her was familiar. She knew who it was, it was just a matter of which one it was. Stopping, she turned to see the short-haired Duo...the one that had been rather sharped tongue when everyone had come up to meet her after her arrival.

Cautiously, she said, "Hello..."

Duo let a friendly expression cast over his face, laced with subtle anxieties and nervousness. "How are you holding up? Manage to make it past the freaks and geeks? cos I can guarantee this whole mess is gonna turn out ugly.." Duo said. He then let a sigh, closing his eyes. "Heero's painting.. Do not disturb..."

Relena put a hand to her chest and breathed a sigh of relief. Duo didn't seem to be affected. Well, this Duo. She wasn't sure about the other one. She wasn't planning on heading to Heero. Not really. Just...away from her roommate who may or may not have been affected by the potion.

"I see." She said. "Do you know the cause of this...chaos?"

The only place Relena could think to go where she knew she'd be safe was to the one person who she knew would do so: to Heero. She wasn't that simpering little school girl with what she now regarded as a silly crush (especially now that she'd grown up a bit), but she'd always felt safe when around him. She knew that he wouldn't let anything get to her and assumed that the smoke from the potion hadn't affected him. To her, it just seemed highly unlikely that such a thing would happen. Then again, she still had this indestructible image of the pilot in her mind. She knew that he'd been blown up, jumped out of a building, been shot at, and all sorts of crazy things that should have very well killed him by now. A silly little potion couldn't affect Heero Yuy...could it?

Racing up the stairs to his room, she knocked on the door. Hopefully he was there. There was a man down the hall who was looking at her strangely.

Heero hated this place. He hated being affected by something beyond his control. He set himself to working on the half-primed apartment walls, hoping to dispel some of the "frustration" that had suddenly taken hold of him. He threw all his energy into his work, trying to keep his mind focused.

He could have gone to the pilot Relena, of course, and he might give in and go eventually, but he hated doing anything when he knew he was being influenced by an outside source. Stupid, maybe, but...

There was a knock at the door. He growled in irritation. "Who is it?" he asked as he crossed the room to the door, laying a hand on the knob as he waited for an answer.

For a moment, Relena considered turning back and going somewhere else. Maybe finding a room that was full of fellow females to hang around with until all the males in Econtra had calmed down. She didn't, however--mainly because that man was still looking at her and she didn't want to know what would happen should she have to walk past him again.

"Relena," she answered. "Vice Foreign Minister Darlian," she specified, as to distinguish herself from her double.

He opened his mouth to tell her to go away, but the thought of her out there in public with other men affected made him change his mind.

The door flew open, a paint-smeared hand reached out and seized her shoulder and pulled her firmly into the apartment, giving her a light push into the center of the room before slamming the door shut behind her.

"It's dangerous out there," he muttered, glaring hard at the door.

Though honestly didn't know how much safer it was inside.
