[TRAINING] Defensive Physical/Spectral [Arena]

Dec 11, 2007 18:47

"Residents," the Warden called, managing to be heard about the general noise of the assembled crowd without seeming to raise his voice at all. "Those whom have gathered here should be assigned to the DEFENSIVE COMBAT training division. If you are not part of this group, you are in the incorrect designated area ( Read more... )

Pharaun squinted over his sunglasses at the people around him. Standing around obviously wouldn't accomplish anything alone. Hoping to attract attention, he used a spell that would surround him in the illusion of flickering, pale purple flames. After all, the best way to attract attention was to look impressive.

And an illusionist could make themselves stand out like no one else if they really wanted to. If Pharaun Mizzrym was going to gather a group, he intended to do it with style.

Gaz looked over at Pharaun and snickered. The illusion was cool, but a little over the top, really. The glasses definitely looked strange, and Gaz wondered if Pharaun was trying to gather a team. In any case, it wouldn't hurt to say hi.

"Nice to see ya again, Pharaun," Gaz said.

Pharaun grinned from the violet fire. "Ah. Hello, Gaz. I take it you're in this section as well."

"Yeah, I've only started to get used to the magic. Since I actually know how to make a pretty decent spectral shield, I figured this would be my forte for now, you know? Don't see too many recognizable faces though. Well...except for freaky demon boy, Tracey, other freaky demon guy, and Elda. This seems like a pretty lonely little gathering here."

Gaz wondered how long this would go on until the Warden revealed himself. "Glad to see you still have your shades though."

"Well, this sucks," Etna sighed.

After the Warden was done talking (she hadn't really been listening) Etna wandered away but stayed in the Arena. Because she had lost her magic, she had decided to move from offense to defense. Not willingly, of course, but... Either way, she was stuck here and didn't really like it. And currently angry at Aligoté, she was wondering why the hell she gave up something as powerful as her magic in the first place for him.

Now she had to join a group and train with them. She wasn't very fond of working with a group.

Saetan walked in, leaning lightly on his cane and looking around. Sadly, Takion was not in defensive training, but he was certainly more than happy to meet new people. Spotting the solitary, rather sullen looking figure nearby, he joined her, asking politely, "Do you mind if I join you, my dear?"

Etna glanced up at the man that approached her, bending her arms behind her head.

"If you want. Are you here to be spectral or physical defense?" Etna asked.

"Spectral." Saetan replied, adding with a smile and gesturing slightly at the cane, "After all, I find the image of me running around with a weapon rather hard to picture." Extending a polite hand to shake, he added, "I'm sorry, I've forgotten my manners; Saetan SaDiablo."

So Kelly was a little late, she'd gotten a tad bit distracted by other things. Though at least she'd managed to pull herself together to get down to where the designated training organization spot was. A small grin was on her face even though it was hidden behind the visor, especially once she caught the call from the comm.

"Ahh? I'm coming, I'm coming!" She replied back over the channel, wading through the crowd to find her elder comrade and the familiar MJOLNIR armor. "I got a bit distracted." She said probably a bit too cheerfully when she reached the other two, taking deep breaths to calm herself down soon afterwards.

Keroberos floated about the arena just above the heads of most people. The tiny guardian wasn't about to obey anyone who wasn't his mistress and didn't even try to bribe him with sweets.

Angel was steaming as he entered the Arena, he tested it, briefly as he entered it, No flames.. good.. he was safe. He pulled off the blanket and began traveling around, seeing the others in seperate groups... Well. He browsed the groups for several minutes, before choosing to move off to the side, away, let them find him, rather them him find them.

He arrived just in time to witness the Warden speaking. Then looked around the arena to see if he knew someone there and to his relief there was one. He It was rather floating above them. "Hey, guardian of the Cards what are you doing up there?" He said smilingly.

Legolas entered the arena without a sound, not because he was trying to make none, but because it was a natural thing among his kind to move about silently. The sound of his footfalls are impossibly soft, practically non-existent, as he walked around looking for anyone he might know. But the elfin prince knew very few here in econtra as of yet, and he feared none of them would be in the same training division as him. The archers adjusted the quiver of arrows on his back nervously. Well, he supposed he would just have to make new acquaintances.

Alexandra hadn't bothered to come immediately when the little computer thing said to. Instead, she leisurely dressed and put on her vibrant lipstick as if she didn't have a care in the world. That was one of those things the Jumi liked about being female. Makeup was a human invention that she'd been rather happy with.

At any rate, she strolled out to the indicated place, decidedly late. She came fully armed with both Diamond Breaker and her throwing knives. To Alexandra's dismay, it seemed she had been a little *too* late, as most of the groups already seemed to have formed. What a bother. She turned to a blond...human(?) and asked, bored, "Are you in a group already?"

Legolas turned towards the sound of a female voice and offered the newcomer a smile, shaking his head. "No, not yet," he answered, "I've thought of waiting for others to join me to form a group of my own but..." He looked around. "...it looks as if enough groups have already been formed?" he mused.

"My name is Legolas," he introduced himself, holding out one hand in greeting, "And yours, my Lady?"

At the words "My Lady," a bemused smile alighted her face. She offered him her hand and replied, "Alexandra." She privately wondered how this very polite young man would handle learning that 'she' spent half her time as a 'he'.

"Well, I think there's one group left, so we can either make our own, or join someone else. What do you propose we do?"
