Of Anniversaries

A year ago to almost this very hour, my life changed. A lot of lives changed... for the better, I think. I know that we surprised so many people by saying that we were divorcing...and I think, in part, that was a fault of ours. We wanted to have everything be perfect, and it wasn't. No matter how hard either of us tried, ... Ugh, I don't know. I ( Read more... )

That's a tough anniversary, for a kit of us. That's when many people who thought she was their friend... found out different.

You learn a lot about someone, in trying times like those. Nobody's perfect, but it's how you handle the mess that really matters.

But when someone basically disappears, and stops communicating... and then springs The Big Surprise on you, well... there's only so much you can do at that point.

I do honestly hope that it works out for the best, for -everyone-.

Thank you for your inspirational words, Stormy. You really put what I was thinking into far better prose than I could. I DO want the best for everyone... And even though we may not have gotten what we wanted, I think we do get what we need.

I guess there's only so much one CAN do, right?

It's hard, dealing with that sort of thing, and it's never easy. But you still have your friends around you. And in the end... well, sometimes having the floor disappear out from underneath you shows you that you can still fly away, and find peace in that.

*sends hugs* Just remember you've got a lot of friends and you're never, ever alone.
