(Probably) No More Crossposting to LJ from gordsellar.com

Apr 14, 2014 15:37

UPDATE (later that same day):

For those who still want to track my blog via LJ: you can do that over at the LJ syndication of my blog that was kindly set up by asakiyume: it's at http://gordsellar.livejournal.com/.

Note, however, that I won't be likely to see comments on these posts: if you want to comment, it's best to do so over at my blog!

I only read here, but I can set up syndication through LJ. (I use LJ as my aggregator, which, given that LJ is dying, is probably a decision I should reconsider, but ….)

(In other words, no worries; I'll handle it at my end--and I'm aware that I don't comment that much anyway!)

Thanks for the note! Yeah, I would think it might be a good idea to export your non-LJ feeds, if you can, or at least take note of them, and sub in some other aggregator. If you could export an OPML it'd be a snap, though (not having checked) why does that idea feel to me so unlikely to be implemented by LJ? Hm... Anyway!

Great! Thanks, I'll add that to the original post for any interested parties. (The last time someone syndicated my blog here, it was possible for others to follow along too.)

Oh yes: anyone can friend that account and get your account syndicated here.

Great! Does the syndication die if you quit your paid status? (My blog was actually syndicated under this name once before, though the person who did it moved on, and it was a different RSS feed then.)
